Miss Universe, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, will be reporting for Inside Edition at the American Super Bowl game on February 7.
Inside Edition’s magazine and television show will have the Filipina beauty queen as a special correspondent at the annual championship game of the National Football League in Santa Clara, California.
Wurtzbach will provide behind-the-scene accounts, live interviews, and actual game coverage.
“This will be my first time experiencing the biggest night in American sports, and I’m excited to take viewers behind the scenes in the lead-up to the big event,” the reigning Miss Universe told Inside Edition.
“Pia is a natural fit as Inside Edition’s Super Bowl Correspondent,” says Executive Producer Charles Lachman. “She has the on-air poise that we look for in our talent, and as reigning Miss Universe, she’s no stranger to a thrilling competition.”
Wurtzbach’s crowning as the new Miss Universe in December 2015 came with much drama as the pageant host mistakenly gave the crown to Miss Colombia instead of Miss Philippines.
The Inside Edition stint will be Wurtzbach’s first time to be a correspondent and first time to be at the Super Bowl.
