Filipino billiards master Carlo Biado finished in the Top 2 of the World 9-Ball Championship held in Doha.
Biado worked hard during the tournament to reach the finals again and defend his 2017 championship title in what is considered the most prestigious prize in the sport of 9-ball.
The world billiard champion reached the finals in masterclass fashion as “He literally mastered the break shot, always getting a ball or two down and leaving a shot on the one ball,” giving crowd favorite American Shane Van Boening a resounding defeat in the semi-final round with an 11-6 win. But Biado eventually bowed to Germany’s Joshua Filler who won in the final round of the event, 13–10.
The World Pool-Billiard Association invited 128 of the world’s best professional pool players from over 40 countries for the event held in December 2018.
