Philippine cities dominated the latest Number report on the safest cities in Southeast Asia.
Top tourist destinations Baguio and Cebu landed on the Numbeo top 10 safest cities list based on the crowd-sourced global database.
Metro Manila’s highly urbanized Valenzuela City was ranked number 2 with a Crime Index at 25.21 and Safety Index at 74.79, second only to Singapore.
Makati City took 5th spot on the list of those with the lowest crime and highest safety indexes.
Davao placed 4th on the survey.

“The crime index is an estimation of overall level of crime in a given city or country. Safety index on the other hand, is quite opposite of crime index. If the city has a high safety index, it is considered very safe,” says the Numbeo report.
