Miss Philippines Anne Lorraine Colis was crowned Miss Globe 2015 in the international pageant’s finals held in Toronto, Canada.
Pampanga native Colis is a runway model and studied Management Accounting at the University of Santo Tomas.
Binibining Pilipinas first crowned Colis as Binibining Pilipinas Tourism International 2015 and was later elevated to Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2015.
Binibining Pilipinas posted a social media announcement noting that “the special recognition illustrates worldwide acclaim and appreciation for true Filipina grace and beauty and her win is a proud moment for our country.”
Colis won over Miss Albania (1st Runner up) and Miss Macedonia (2nd Runner up), and 50 other countries.
The Miss Globe 2015 title is the first beauty title earned by the Philippines in the current pageant season.
