Hollywood movie Bourne Legacy to be filmed in Metro Manila

Hollywood stars Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton are in Manila shooting the much-awaited 4th installment of the Bourne film series “Bourne Legacy.”
The shoot of the fourth part of the Hollywood action thriller spy film take place in different places of Metro Manila.
Shooting dates and locations are as follows: San Andres street (from Jan. 11 to 15); streets in Remedios (Jan. 18 and 19); San Andres corner Quirino and Taft Avenue (Jan. 14), areas in Intramuros (Jan. 25, Feb. 17 and 18); Jones Bridge (Feb. 5), and Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard (Feb. 8 to 15).
The film’s production selected the Pasay Taft Rotonda as one of the locations for some of the movie’s car chase sequences.
The duration of the Philippine shoot is from 40 to 45 days, with the scenes taken in Manila to comprise 20 to 25 minutes of the whole movie.
Philippine producer Lope ‘Jun’ Juban Jr. said the reason the “Bourne Legacy” team included the Philippines in the movie, is because “They felt very welcome, and nakita nila ‘yung ating pedigree o history of films made in the Philippines. More importantly, it’s our attitude, yung welcoming nature ng Pilipino.”
The Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Renner (“The Hurt Locker”) replaces Matt Damon, the star of the first three Bourne movies as new CIA operative Aaron Cross.
“The Bourne Legacy” is written and directed by Tony Gilroy.
