SPi Global, the largest Filipino-owned business process outsourcing (BPO) company surpassed other foreign BPO companies in Vietnam to win an accolade in the prestigious 2011 Sao Khue Awards.
The company received the Sao Khue 2011 Prize for “BPO service for BPO Services Group” from the Vietnam Software Association, or VINASA, which recognized SPi Global’s excellent conversion solutions in Vietnam.
Since 2003, VINASA has been responsible for the Sao Khue Awards which recognizes outstanding individuals and enterprises in the information technology and software sectors.
This year, 56 companies and individuals were honored in ceremonies held in Hanoi.
Vinasa also awarded SPi Global the title “pre-eminent service” for the company’s content processing solutions, which includes digitization, data entry and high-volume transaction processing. SPi Global’s Hanoi operation, established in 2002, employs over 600 employees, and supports the company’s robust Philippine operations.
“This award is a testimony to our best practices,” SPi global president and chief executive officer Maulik Parekh said.
“We have made a significant investment in best practices to provide best-in-class service to our growing clientele base. Our Hanoi facility complements our existing sites in Philippines and India and enables us to provide scale, diversification, and access to a rich talent pool,” he added.
Earlier this year, SPi Global was named “BPO Company of the Year” in the International ICT Awards. The company has also ranked among the top 100 outsourcing service providers in the world by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ (IAOP) Global Outsourcing 100 list. This is the sixth consecutive year that SPi Global was included in this list.
“These awards highlight our strategic ability to ensure consistent and seamless execution following our global footprint,” Parekh explained.
“Considering the volume of transactions that we process for our clients, and the manner that we deliver our services, it is important that we follow a common set of best practices.”
SPi Global is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, the leading telecommunications provider in the Philippines voted recently by analysts and investors as 2011′s Best Managed Company in the country in a poll by FinanceAsia magazine.
